About Us
Founded in 2005, Shine! Theatre creates quality theatrical experiences for all, instilling an early appreciation of literature and the fine arts in tomorrow's artists and citizens and providing outstanding educational opportunities and training in the theatre arts. Based in Fresno, the company has repeatedly been recognized by national theatre associations as the top professional theatre for young audiences in the United States and is now looking to push boundaries and make art by adding more mature titles to the mix.
The West Hollywood City Council presented a Proclamation that "commends Shine! for creating an environment in which to entertain, engage and enrich the lives of area youth".
Congresswoman Diane Watson recognized Shine! on the floor of Congress with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for "outstanding and invaluable service to the community."
